For this reason, we value partnership with clients over the traditional patient-clinician hierarchy. The result is a powerful blend of evidenced-based science and intuition. Through the partnership model, the patient and clinician are able to create/formulate nutrition solutions that instill immediate confidence and contribute to long-term improved health outcomes.
We reject the weight-focused health paradigm and pursue whole-person, authentic health. Evidence shows that weight and weight loss do not define health and well-being. We recognize health and well-being as multifaceted, and embrace weight-inclusivity as we create and share resources to improve physical, behavioral, psychological, and social factors associated with health.
We believe self-care is the key to whole-person, authentic health. Self-care is the critical precursor to long-term healthy behavior engagement. Self-care is not earned; it’s a right, not a privilege. As humans, we are born with intrinsic value that cannot be taken away.
